MB Therapeutics: Putting CSR at the heart of innovation with Med-Transitions
Manon Perez, Quality Director of MB Therapeutics, completes the Med-Transitions program. This strategic initiative, led by the Agence des Transitions and MedVallée, supports SMEs in their transition toward more sustainable business models.
Structuring for better innovation
The Med-Transitions program is designed to help companies bridge the gap between performance and responsibility. The goal is simple: to integrate CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) into every strategic decision.
This initiative provides a structured framework to accurately assess a company’s carbon footprint and societal impact, while identifying concrete solutions to optimize resource management. By leveraging key drivers such as responsible governance, decarbonization, and local integration, the program helps build a more resilient business model.
For MB Therapeutics, the objective is to no longer view CSR as a constraint, but as a strategic management tool capable of meeting the new regulatory and environmental requirements of the healthcare sector.
3D printing of medications: A catalyst for sustainable healthcare
The Med-Transitions program has confirmed the natural alignment between MB Therapeutics’ technology and the challenges of the ecological transition:
-
Combating waste: Unlike mass production, 3D printing enables the manufacturing of medications at the exact dosage, thereby eliminating surpluses and the waste of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
-
Local and agile production: By enabling manufacturing directly within pharmacies, 3D printing reduces logistical flows and transportation needs.
-
Social and ethical impact: Precision medicine addresses a major public health challenge: providing galenic forms tailored to the specific needs of each patient (pediatrics, geriatrics).
A strengthened ambition for the future
For our Quality Director, this experience serves to consolidate MB Therapeutics’ roadmap:
A coherent commitment: From the lab to the office
For MB Therapeutics, the transition is a daily practice reflected even in our workspace. In a commitment to sobriety and the circular economy, we chose to furnish our offices entirely with second-hand items. Rather than purchasing new equipment, we prioritized reuse for all our furniture. Learn more
